Abstract
The program aims to improve the life of youth in Pathway 1. Module 2: Personal Development is a key component of the program, with the objective of enabling participants to identify their values, skills, and personal strengths and weaknesses, develop long-term and short-term personal goals, make a plan to reach their goals, and participate in a work-exposure activity. The module is designed to be completed in 10 hours, with three sessions and various activities. Session 1: Values and Skills focuses on identifying values, skills, and personal strengths and weaknesses. Participants are required to complete a self-assessment, which includes identifying their skills and qualities, setting a goal for themselves, making a plan to reach a goal, and paying attention to progress on following the plan and achieving the goal. The session also includes an activity on skills and qualities assessment. Session 2: Setting Goals and Making Plans is designed to help participants develop long-term and short-term personal goals and make a plan to reach their goals. Participants are required to complete a worksheet on setting and achieving personal goals and a worksheet on steps to achieve their personal goals. The session also includes an activity on workplace exposure. Session 3: Learning about Work is designed to enable participants to observe in a workplace to learn about types of work. Participants are required to complete a form for small group workplace visits. The session also includes a review of the module and a quiz competition. The module includes various materials and preparation, including basic training materials, review of objectives, review of worksheets, and listening to interactive audio instructions. The trainer's manual provides a detailed guide for trainers to conduct the module, including review of objectives, review of worksheets, and listening to interactive audio instructions.
