Abstract
A key focus of the Activity's work is to identify and address how USAID anticipates utilizing the Activity's evaluation and assessment findings to inform future programming and decision-making. The Activity evaluated and awarded three Task Orders to three different local monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) organizations (LMOs) in the reporting period. These Task Orders were designed to provide data collection services for the School Infrastructure Multi-activity Evaluation, to verify data for USAID's Training for Employment Activity, and to conduct the entire End of Project Evaluation for USAID's Training for Employment Activity. The Activity arranged orientation sessions for the LMOs on USAID communications guidelines and data management. The team is currently finalizing the Community of Practice Market Assessment report and is arranging for a presentation next quarter. The Activity's goal is to prepare local organizations to bid on USAID (and other donor) MEL work in the future. The Activity launched the Organizational Capacity Assessment and the MEL Organizational Capacity Assessment to help LMOs improve their organizational capacity for compliance with USAID's Implementing Partner requirements. The Activity is working with three subject-matter experts to start the validation process and will continue working with LMOs to develop capacity building action plans. The Activity's work on the Jordan Water Consumption Patterns in Agriculture - Market Development Analysis has been completed. The Activity's interventions have contributed to USAID's increased utilization of evaluation and assessment results for operational decision-making and programming.
