Abstract
The project focuses on providing comprehensive support to households with children who have been affected by HIV and AIDS. The project's objectives include improving the health, education, and economic well-being of these children. The baseline evaluation survey was conducted in July 2018 to assess the current situation of the project beneficiaries. The survey collected data on various aspects of the children's lives, including their health, education, and economic status. The survey also gathered information on the caregivers' characteristics, such as their age, sex, and education level. The survey found that the majority of the caregivers were women, and they reported that their household's primary source of income was from agriculture. The caregivers also reported that they had limited access to healthcare services, and many of them had not been tested for HIV. The survey results showed that the children's health status was a major concern. Many of the children were underweight, and some of them had not received any vaccinations. The caregivers reported that they had difficulty accessing healthcare services, and many of them had to travel long distances to reach a healthcare facility. The survey also found that the children's education status was a major concern. Many of the children were not enrolled in school, and those who were enrolled had limited access to educational resources. The caregivers reported that they had difficulty accessing educational materials, and many of them had not received any support from the government. The survey results highlighted the need for the COVida project to provide comprehensive support to the households with children who have been affected by HIV and AIDS. The project should focus on improving the health, education, and economic well-being of these children. The project should also provide support to the caregivers, including training and capacity-building activities.
