Abstract
The tracker is divided into four main sections: A. Visit Log, B. Aggregated Visit Data, C. Summary of Issues/Lessons Learned, and a section for comments and signatures. The Visit Log section is used to record information about each school visit, including the date, school name, teacher name, and student attendance. The log also includes a classroom observation section, where the coach can record the teacher's instructional practices, student engagement, and overall classroom environment. The observation is scored on a scale of 1-20, with higher scores indicating more effective instructional practices. The Aggregated Visit Data section provides an overview of the coach's activities for the month, including the number of schools and teachers visited. The section also includes a summary of the classroom observations, highlighting the number and percentage of teachers who scored as "Some" or "High" Risk on the observation. The Summary of Issues/Lessons Learned section is used to identify areas of strength and weakness among teachers. The section is divided into five parts: Generalized strengths, Generalized needs, Action plan, Coach needs, and Additional comments. The coach is required to identify what teachers are doing well or improving on, common problems that teachers are having, and areas where the coach needs more help. The tracker also includes a section for comments and signatures from the coach, District Education Officer, and Coordinator for Teacher Training and Coaching. The signatures and dates are used to verify that the information has been reviewed and approved. The Monthly Coach Support Tracker is an essential tool for monitoring and supporting teacher development in Liberia. By using this tracker, coaches can identify areas of strength and weakness among teachers, develop action plans to address these areas, and provide targeted support to improve instructional practices.
