The project is part of the USAID Mission Infrastructure Needs Program II, which focuses on the rehabilitation and construction of roads, schools, water, and wastewater projects to improve Palestinians' access to basic infrastructure and services. The project involves connecting to the existing Kadim pipeline, constructing approximately 24 km of transmission pipelines with bulk filling stations, building a booster pumping station, and a reservoir. The project's progress is being monitored and reported on a monthly basis, with the latest report covering the period from March 1 to March 31, 2016. The project's safety and environmental compliance are being ensured through the implementation of the Construction Risk Management Plan (CRMP) and the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA). The project's community outreach and gender action plan are also being implemented to ensure that the project's benefits are equitably distributed among the local community. The project's progress is being tracked through various indicators, including the completion of construction activities, the installation of new facilities, and the testing of the water supply system. The project's schedule is being monitored to ensure that the project is completed on time and within budget. The project's implementation is being carried out in accordance with the project's scope of work, which includes the construction of new facilities, the installation of new transmission mains, and the testing of the water supply system.
