Abstract
The project is part of the USAID Mission Infrastructure Needs Program II, which focuses on the rehabilitation and construction of roads, schools, water, and wastewater projects to improve Palestinians' access to basic infrastructure and services. The objective of this Task Order is to connect the existing Kadim pipeline to the eight villages, construct approximately 24 km of transmission pipelines with bulk filling stations, and build a booster pumping station and reservoir. The project scope of work includes the construction of new facilities, such as the Faqqua and Jalbun Booster Station and the Faqqua Reservoir, as well as the construction of new transmission mains, including the Kadim connection to Beit Qad, the Kadim connection to Wadi Ad Dabi, the Beit Qad to Deir Abu Daif pipeline, and the Beit Qad to Jalbun-Faqqua Booster Station pipeline. The project elements consist of the construction of new facilities, the installation of transmission mains, and the connection to the existing Kadim pipeline. The project is being implemented by The Morganti Group, Inc., with a team of key personnel, including Moh'd El Wahsh as the Task Order Manager, Nidal Maraziq as the Quality Control Manager, Mohammad Abu Tammam as the Safety and Environmental Compliance Officer, and Khaled Althwaib as the Surveyor. The project is expected to improve the water supply to the eight villages, reducing their reliance on purchasing water from tankers or private wells. The project timeline is critical, with a focus on completing the construction of new facilities and transmission mains within the specified timeframe. The project team is working closely with the USAID Mission and other stakeholders to ensure that the project is completed on schedule and within budget. The project's success will depend on the effective management of the construction process, the quality of the work, and the ability to overcome any challenges that may arise during the implementation of the project. The project's geographic focus is on the eight villages in the northeast part of the Jenin Governorate, which currently do not have a reliable water supply system. The project's implementation will have a significant impact on the lives of the residents of these villages, providing them with access to clean and safe drinking water. The project's success will also contribute to the overall goal of improving Palestinians' access to basic infrastructure and services, as outlined in the USAID Mission Infrastructure Needs Program II.
