Abstract
The project aims to improve the transmission of water supply to villages southwest of the Jenin municipality, enhance water storability by constructing new reservoirs, and provide a reliable, safe, and affordable water supply to the project area. The project is part of the USAID Mission Infrastructure Needs Program II (INP II), which focuses on the rehabilitation and construction of roads, schools, water, and wastewater projects to improve Palestinians' access to basic infrastructure and services. The project's objective is to upgrade the existing water supply system, improve water quality, and increase the reliability of the water supply. The project is being implemented under an Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC) with a contract value of USD 12,949,433.37. The contract includes a Base of Quantity (BOQ) line item amount of USD 12,449,433.37 and a day work amount of USD 500,000. The project's contractual period of performance is 480 calendar days, with a contractual end date of February 16, 2017. The project location spans across several villages in the Jenin Governorate, including Arraba, Kuferit, Ajja, Kafr Rai', Jalqamus, Al Mutilla, Meithalun, and Sanur. The project's scope of work includes the construction of new reservoirs, upgrading the existing water supply system, and improving water quality. The project's progress is being monitored and reported on a monthly basis.
