68 pages

Abstract
The guide provides recommendations and guidance on the proper processes and protocols surrounding MyUSAID.gov. The SOPs contained in the guide lay out the various platform functions and roles and responsibilities of applicable parties, enabling users to ascertain the different ways their Operating Unit can make the best use of the platform. The guide is considered a "living document" that can evolve as the platform and user experience evolve. User Profile Information is a Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) that provides information and edit capability for User Profiles in MyUSAID.gov. The SOP applies to all users of MyUSAID.gov and outlines the mandatory and voluntary profile fields. Mandatory profile fields are synced directly from the Active Directory (AD), used for personnel recordkeeping. These fields include First Name, Last Name, Agency Email Address, and Primary Contact Phone. These fields are not editable in the portal, and users are discouraged from editing them in the workspace. Voluntary profile fields include work-related skill information and work history, as well as a photo and other personal information. Users are encouraged to complete the additional fields and keep them current, as it relates to their work for the agency. The profile fields are editable by the user unless otherwise noted, and information is synced from the system if applicable. The guide also outlines best practices for profile pictures, including the purpose of having a profile on MyUSAID.gov, which is to foster social collaboration, communication, and engagement to carry out the mission of USAID more efficiently. The use of a profile picture on MyUSAID.gov portal and the workspace is not mandatory, and users have the freedom to decide whether or not they want their picture to be part of their profile.
