Project, follow-on to 6980461, to strengthen the institutional capacity of the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW) to plan and manage institution-building projects with three women"s organizations in Africa: the Federation of Senegalese Women (FAFS), the Botswana Young Women"s Christian Association (Botswana YWCA), and the Federation of African Media Women of Zimbabwe (FAMWAZ).

Abstract
Specifically, NCNW will: (1) conduct assessments of the sociological, legal, and economic status of women in Senegal, Botswana, and Zimbabwe; (2) conduct management assessments of the three targeted women"s groups and obtain operational plans that outline specific activities and auditable outputs expected from the NCNW collaboration; (3) conduct a management assessment of its own International Division (ID) headquarters and field offices and develop a management plan for ID operations; (4) develop a project proposal that follows accepted USAID guidelines; and (5) develop an implementation plan that details how NCNW/ID will administer the proposed project.
