Abstract
The chapter is a Business Membership Organization (BMO) registered in 1996 to promote Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Nigeria. The Nigeria Agriculture Policy Activity (NAPA) shared research output at the event, including pamphlets on various topics such as urban agriculture and food security, reducing postharvest loss in tomatoes, and reduction of post-harvest losses in onion production. The pamphlets were presented by NAPP scholars, including Dr. Chukwudi Charles Olumba, Mrs. Hephzibah Onyeje Obekpa, Mrs. Balaraba Sule, and Dr. Blessing Iveren Agada. The topics covered in the pamphlets are critical to the development of Nigeria's agricultural sector, which is a key area of focus for NAPA. The research output is expected to contribute to the promotion of MSMEs in Nigeria and support the country's agricultural policy goals. The Oyo State Chapter of NASME meets monthly at the Expoyo Complex in Sango, Ibadan, and the Annual General Meeting had about 100 members in attendance. The chapter's leadership has requested further engagement with NAPA, particularly on agricultural policy issues. NAPA is exploring ways to support this request and is reaching out to other chapters of NASME, particularly in USAID Focus States and the national leadership in Abuja. NAPA is a project funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) under the Feed the Future initiative. The project aims to support the development of Nigeria's agricultural sector and improve food security in the country. The research output presented by NAPA is a key component of this effort, and it is expected to contribute to the promotion of MSMEs and the development of Nigeria's agricultural sector.
