Abstract
The programs focus on several key areas, including agriculture and food security preparedness, disaster preparedness, response, and management, drought preparedness, flood preparedness, forecasting, and management, health preparedness, and hydrometeorological risk reduction. Nutrition capacity building is also a key component of the programs. The programs aim to enhance disaster preparedness and response, improve early warning systems, and promote sustainable livelihoods. In North Africa, the programs target countries such as Libya, Algeria, Tunisia, Chad, Niger, Mali, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Mauritania, Western Sahara, Morocco, Senegal, The Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Equatorial Guinea, São Tomé & Principe, and Gabon. The programs aim to improve disaster preparedness and response, enhance early warning systems, and promote sustainable development.
