Abstract
The project aims to continue and expand Fe y Alegria activities initiated under previous Operational Program Grants (OPGs) 527-0181 and 527-0234. The primary objective is to strengthen training activities for Fe y Alegria students and community members, as well as establish a Coordinating Office to facilitate job placement for graduates. The project will be implemented over a three-year period, with the first year focusing on the establishment of a detailed implementation plan, engineering plans for construction activities, and the establishment of a Coordinating Office. Commodities financed by the project must have their source and origin in Peru or the United States, except as agreed upon in writing by the Agency for International Development (AID). Suppliers of commodities or services must have Peru or the United States as their place of nationality, except as agreed upon in writing by AID. The project will be subject to the following essential terms and conditions: the source and origin of commodities, nationality of services, conditions precedent to disbursement, and the establishment of a Coordinating Office. Prior to any disbursement or issuance of commitment documents, Fe y Alegria must furnish a detailed implementation plan for the first year of project activities, engineering plans for construction activities, and evidence of the establishment of a Coordinating Office. The project authorization is subject to the availability of funds in accordance with the AID OYB/allotment process. The planned life of the project is three years from the date of initial obligation. The project will be implemented in accordance with AID regulations and Delegations of Authority. The Grant Agreement will be negotiated and executed by the officer to whom such authority is delegated, subject to the essential terms and conditions outlined in the project authorization. The project will be implemented in Peru, with a focus on the Pueblos Jovenes region. The project will provide vocational training to Fe y Alegria students and community members, with the goal of facilitating job placement for graduates. The project will also establish a Coordinating Office to facilitate job placement and provide support services to graduates.
