Abstract
The program is designed to provide a comprehensive learning experience, encompassing various modules that focus on personal development, communication skills, leadership, and health awareness. The introductory module of the program emphasizes the importance of creating a collaborative and supportive learning environment, where participants can engage in open discussions and share their experiences. The module also introduces the concept of trust-building, highlighting the significance of establishing strong relationships with peers and trainers. Participants are encouraged to complete a worksheet, "How I Can Earn Trust," to reflect on their personal values and behaviors that contribute to building trust. The program's curriculum is structured around 13 modules, each focusing on a specific theme. These modules include Foundations of Resilience, Personal Development, Communication Skills, Leadership, Finding and Keeping Work, Safety and Health at Work, Rights and Responsibilities of Workers and Employers, Digital Literacy, Be Your Own Boss, Foundations of Health – Preventable Diseases, Foundations of Health – Sexual and Reproductive Health, Foundations of Health – Understanding Alcohol and Drug Use, and Peer Leader Accompaniment Groups. The modules are designed to equip participants with practical skills and knowledge, enabling them to navigate the workforce effectively. The program's emphasis on health awareness, particularly in the areas of preventable diseases, sexual and reproductive health, and substance abuse, underscores the importance of promoting healthy behaviors and lifestyles among young individuals. The Work-Based Learning Continuum, outlined in Handout 0.4, provides a framework for participants to develop their skills and knowledge in a real-world setting. This continuum emphasizes the importance of hands-on learning, where participants can apply theoretical concepts to practical scenarios, thereby enhancing their employability and entrepreneurship capabilities. Throughout the program, participants are encouraged to engage in reflective practices, such as self-assessment and peer feedback, to monitor their progress and identify areas for improvement. The program's emphasis on collaboration, trust-building, and hands-on learning creates a supportive environment that fosters personal growth and development among participants.
