Abstract
The organization's efforts focus on mobilizing communities to explore options for accessing basic needs, referral services, and child protection factors. This approach aims to prevent child family separation and promote family well-being. Community mobilization is a key aspect of CCT's work, with the organization identifying and engaging with key stakeholders at the village level. These stakeholders include commune development council members, village chiefs, village defenders, village support groups, school directors/teachers, school association members, community health care workers, village volunteers, and police. By engaging with these stakeholders, CCT aims to develop a more comprehensive understanding of the factors that contribute to child family separation and to identify community-led solutions to address these issues. CCT's work also involves training village and commune level social workers to strengthen families and reduce family separation. In the reporting period, 22 village level social workers and 4 commune level social workers were trained. The training focused on skills such as empathy, group supervision, and child protection. Additionally, CCT conducted information sessions and training for community members, with a total of 25 information sessions conducted in the reporting period. The organization's efforts have resulted in significant progress in preventing child family separation. In the reporting period, 28 children were identified and referred to CCT for assessment, and 4 cases were closed due to successful intervention. CCT also established support groups in 3 villages, with a total of 777 support group members attending information sessions and training. The organization's assessment of the alcohol support group showed a 100% increase in support group member knowledge. CCT's work is focused on improving the lives of vulnerable families and children in Cambodia. The organization's efforts aim to promote family well-being, prevent child family separation, and provide support to families in need. By engaging with communities and providing training and support to social workers, CCT is working to create a safer and more supportive environment for children and families in Cambodia. The organization's performance monitoring plan report highlights the progress made in the reporting period, with a focus on key indicators such as the number of children and families supported, the number of support groups established, and the number of community members trained. The report also highlights the challenges faced by the organization, including the need to extend the project to collect and report on certain data. Despite these challenges, CCT's efforts have resulted in significant progress in preventing child family separation and promoting family well-being in Cambodia.
