Abstract
This plan was developed with the participation of the Honorable Concejo Municipal, municipal officials, and employees of various departments, including DAFIM, JAM, DMP, Fontanería, and others. The plan aims to improve the provision of water services in the urban area of Concepción Huista, with a focus on increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of the water management system. The plan is based on a comprehensive analysis of the current situation, including the estimation of monthly household expenses and income, as well as the estimation of water consumption and demand. According to the plan, the current situation in Concepción Huista is characterized by a lack of access to clean water, with many households relying on wells and springs for their water needs. The plan estimates that the current water consumption is 1,500 cubic meters per day, with a demand of 2,500 cubic meters per day projected for the next five years. The plan proposes a series of strategic actions to improve the water management system, including the construction of new water tanks, the rehabilitation of existing infrastructure, and the implementation of a water metering system. The plan also proposes the creation of a water management committee to oversee the implementation of the plan and ensure its effectiveness. The plan estimates that the total investment required to implement the plan is Q. 15,000,000, with a breakdown of the costs as follows: Q. 5,000,000 for the construction of new water tanks, Q. 3,000,000 for the rehabilitation of existing infrastructure, and Q. 2,000,000 for the implementation of a water metering system. The plan also proposes a series of measures to ensure the sustainability of the water management system, including the creation of a water fund to finance the maintenance and operation of the system, and the implementation of a system of water tariffs to ensure that users pay for the water they consume. The plan is based on a comprehensive analysis of the current situation and proposes a series of strategic actions to improve the water management system in Concepción Huista.
