Abstract
This initiative is a result of a convenio de cooperación between the OIM - Dpto de Santander and other stakeholders. The project's director is Alvaro Vecino Pico. The project's focus is on improving the health and nutrition of children in the region. A key aspect of this initiative is the development of a strategy to promote healthy eating habits among children. The strategy emphasizes the importance of a balanced diet that includes a variety of foods such as meat, fish, and poultry. However, the project also highlights the need to prepare these foods in a way that is nutritious and easy to digest. Research has shown that a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains can have a positive impact on a child's overall health and well-being. The project aims to promote this type of diet through education and awareness-raising activities. Community leaders, including the governor of Santander, J-Iugo Helidoro Aguilar Naranjo, and the secretary of health, Ricardo Florez Rueda, are involved in the project and are working to promote healthy eating habits among children. The project also involves the participation of nutritionists, dietitians, and educators who are working together to develop a comprehensive strategy to promote healthy eating habits among children. The strategy includes the development of educational materials, the implementation of nutrition programs, and the promotion of community-based initiatives to support healthy eating habits. The project's goal is to improve the health and well-being of children in the region by promoting healthy eating habits and reducing the prevalence of malnutrition. The project's success will depend on the effective implementation of the strategy and the level of community engagement and participation.
