Abstract
Target actors' capacity in natural resource management improved, and a performance and motivation system was established to support individuals and organizations in creating value and pride. Strategic Approach 2 aimed to develop a functional data portal and transform data into useful information. The portal was developed and became operational, with data consolidated and transformed into useful information. Key messages on conservation and sustainable natural resource management were shared, and the use of the portal for decision-making improved. Strategic Approach 3 supported the implementation of a conservation finance strategy. The strategy was implemented, and key public sector personnel's policy-making capacity was improved. Governance vision for natural resource management and land, coastal, and marine tenure was shared by all involved actors. Strategic Approach 4 focused on empowering key public sector personnel to enforce natural resource management, land, and marine tenure, and environmental policy and law. Strategic Approach 5 empowered targeted civil society networks to advocate for conservation, natural resource management, and land and marine tenure issues. The approach improved the capacities of targeted civil society networks to carry out their roles regarding natural resource management and land and marine tenure. Collaborating, Learning, and Adapting (CLA) was a key component of the initiative. Collaboration with external partners was established, and monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities were conducted. Data quality assessment, MEL training for partners, and learning review meetings were also conducted. The initiative faced several challenges, including problems with equipment availability and equipment availability. However, the initiative also achieved several successes, including the development of a functional data portal and the improvement of household income among program participants. Geographic data was collected and analyzed, and success stories were documented. Trainings and meetings were conducted, and staff and travel were planned. Pictures were taken, and integration of cross-cutting issues was conducted. The initiative also complied with environmental and climate risk management regulations.
