Abstract
The project's main objective is to consolidate the Outreach Centers network through multi-sectorial alliances to increase protective factors and promote a culture of peace. This objective is pursued through three specific objectives: SO1, SO2, and SO3. SO1 focuses on consolidating the Outreach Centers network through multi-sectorial alliances to increase protective factors and promote a culture of peace. Result 1.1 reports an increase in Outreach Center sustainability, with 100% of partners meeting the acceptable empowerment criteria. The number of volunteers supporting OC programmatic activities increased to 250, and the number of beneficiaries served through OCs programmatic activities reached 1,500. Result 1.2 reports that target populations were sensitized towards a culture of peace, with 20 community and stakeholder-oriented campaigns conducted to prevent violence. A total of 5,000 beneficiaries were exposed to campaigns promoting a culture of peace. Result 1.3 reports that strategic alliances were established with local organizations, private sectors, and other stakeholders, with 15 agreements signed with stakeholders interested in supporting the OC methodology. SO2 focuses on income generation opportunities increased for at-risk youth and former gang members through capacity building and mentorship. Result 2.1 reports that income generation and employability opportunities increased for at-risk youth, with 500 at-risk youth benefiting from income generation and employability services. Result 2.2 reports that income generation opportunities increased for former gang members, with 200 former gang members benefiting from tertiary prevention services. SO3 focuses on enhanced leadership of personnel conducive to an effective implementation of the 2018-2020 strategic plan. Result 3.1 reports that FUNADEH's human talent professional development plan achieved an accomplishment score of 80%. Result 3.2 reports that the adoption and implementation of ISO and PMI standards improved, with 10 processes completed to secure the yearly ISO certification and 5 agile principles and approaches incorporated in FUNADEH to manage projects. The GENESIS project has made significant progress in consolidating the Outreach Centers network, increasing income generation opportunities, and enhancing leadership. The project has also established strategic alliances with local organizations, private sectors, and other stakeholders to promote a culture of peace and increase protective factors for at-risk youth and former gang members in selected municipalities of Honduras. The project's performance is monitored and evaluated through a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation plan, which includes indicators such as the number of Outreach Centers, the number of beneficiaries served, and the number of strategic alliances established. The project's progress is also reported through quarterly reports, which provide an update on the project's achievements and challenges. The GENESIS project has faced several challenges, including the need to increase the number of Outreach Centers and the number of beneficiaries served. However, the project has also made significant progress in addressing these challenges, including the establishment of new Outreach Centers and the expansion of services to reach more beneficiaries. Overall, the GENESIS project has made significant progress in increasing protective factors for at-risk youth and former gang members in selected municipalities of Honduras. The project's achievements and challenges will continue to be monitored and evaluated through a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation plan, and the project will continue to work towards its objectives of consolidating the Outreach Centers network, increasing income generation opportunities, and enhancing leadership.
