Abstract
The program supports institutions such as State Attorneys General Offices and State Courts, and facilitates collaboration between justice sector institutions and various stakeholders. The primary objectives of ConJusticia are to strengthen individual state justice institutions, improve coordination and collaboration between institutions and local actors, and build sustainable partnerships with diverse actors that contribute to citizen co-responsibility. The ConJusticia program operates in eight target states: Chihuahua, Coahuila, Hidalgo, Nayarit, San Luis Potosí, Sonora, Quintana Roo, and Zacatecas. Guanajuato and Querétaro are allied states. The program's geographic areas of focus are critical in addressing the complex issues of impunity and accountability in the Mexican justice system. During the second quarter of Fiscal Year 2023, ConJusticia made significant progress in achieving its objectives. The program's indicators progress report highlights the achievements of various partners and stakeholders. Documenta, A.C. – LABMEX, for instance, demonstrated notable progress in promoting justice and human rights in Nayarit. Similarly, PROGRESO PARA MÉXICO, A.C. (PROMEX) in Nayarit, and EDUCACIÓN Y CIUDADANÍA, A.C. (EDUCIAC) made substantial contributions to the program's objectives. The ConJusticia program also prioritizes gender equality and social inclusion (GESI). Partners such as COORDINACIÓN FEMINISTA OLIMPIA DE GOUGES, A.C. (OLIMPIA DE GOUGES) and LABORATORIO DE SOLUCIONES COLABORATIVAS DE POLÍTICAS PÚBLICAS, A.C. (LABCO) have been instrumental in promoting GESI and addressing the needs of marginalized communities. Lessons learned from the program's progress highlight the importance of adaptive management and corrective actions. The program's ability to adapt to changing circumstances and address emerging challenges has been critical in achieving its objectives. The partnership report and GESI activity partnership report provide valuable insights into the program's partnerships and collaborations. The ConJusticia program's organizational chart has been updated to reflect changes in the program's structure and partnerships. The annexes section of the report includes indicator summary tables, success stories, financial reports, and financial projection reports, providing a comprehensive overview of the program's progress and achievements. Overall, the ConJusticia program has made significant progress in achieving its objectives and contributing to the improvement of the Mexican justice system. The program's commitment to adaptive management, corrective actions, and GESI has been instrumental in addressing the complex issues of impunity and accountability in the region.
