Abstract
QSIP aims to enhance the quality of public services by focusing on the needs and expectations of citizens. The program is designed to be led by local government officials, with active participation from key staff members and service providers. As part of the QSIP methodology, a survey was conducted among citizens of Bashkia Kucove to identify the most problematic services. The survey was conducted in two phases: the first phase focused on the quality of public services, while the second phase focused on communication and participation. The survey was conducted using two separate questionnaires, one for urban residents and one for rural residents. The questionnaires were designed to gather information on various aspects of public services, including infrastructure, sanitation, and water supply. The survey also collected information on citizen participation and communication with the local government. The survey results showed that the majority of respondents were satisfied with the quality of public services, but there were some areas of concern. For example, respondents in rural areas reported difficulties with access to clean water and sanitation facilities. In urban areas, respondents reported concerns about traffic congestion and parking. The survey also highlighted the importance of citizen participation and communication in improving the quality of public services. Respondents emphasized the need for more transparent and accountable governance, as well as better communication between citizens and local government officials. In terms of demographics, the survey respondents were predominantly between the ages of 18 and 65, with a slight majority of females. The majority of respondents had a secondary education, while a smaller proportion had a higher education. Overall, the survey results provide valuable insights into the needs and expectations of citizens in Bashkia Kucove. The findings highlight the importance of improving the quality of public services, enhancing citizen participation and communication, and promoting more transparent and accountable governance.
