Abstract
The project aims to improve access to quality healthcare services and promote healthy behaviors among the population. The project is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and is implemented by IntraHealth International. The project's objectives are to increase access to quality healthcare services in the public sector and promote healthy behaviors among the population. To achieve these objectives, the project focuses on three main areas: improving access to healthcare services, promoting healthy behaviors, and strengthening the healthcare system. In the first quarter of 2018, the project made significant progress in achieving its objectives. The project's activities included training healthcare providers on integrated services delivery and health behaviors, conducting community outreach and education on healthy behaviors, and strengthening the healthcare system through the implementation of the District Health Information System (DHIS2). The project also made progress in implementing its activities in the districts and regions targeted by the project. The project's activities included the implementation of the Tutorat 3.0 program in the district sanitaires and regions médicales cibles, which aims to improve the quality of healthcare services provided by healthcare providers. In addition, the project conducted a synthesis of the results of the integration of family planning services into vaccination sessions, which showed that the integration of family planning services into vaccination sessions increased the uptake of family planning services among women. The project also conducted a synthesis of the training of healthcare providers in hospitals, health centers, and health posts, which showed that the training of healthcare providers improved their knowledge and skills in providing quality healthcare services. Overall, the project made significant progress in the first quarter of 2018 in achieving its objectives and implementing its activities. The project's activities are expected to continue in the next quarter, with a focus on strengthening the healthcare system and promoting healthy behaviors among the population. The project's budget for the first quarter of 2018 was $X, which was used to fund the project's activities, including training healthcare providers, conducting community outreach and education, and strengthening the healthcare system. The project's financial report for the first quarter of 2018 is included in Annex 2 of this report. The project's governance and administration are overseen by a project management team, which is responsible for implementing the project's activities and ensuring that the project is implemented in accordance with the project's objectives and budget. The project management team includes a project manager, a finance manager, and a technical advisor. The project's sustainability is ensured through the development of a plan for the project's continuation after the project's end date. The plan includes a strategy for sustaining the project's activities and ensuring that the project's objectives are continued after the project's end date. The project's impact is expected to be significant, with the project's activities expected to improve access to quality healthcare services and promote healthy behaviors among the population. The project's impact will be evaluated through a series of indicators, including the number of people accessing quality healthcare services, the number of people adopting healthy behaviors, and the number of healthcare providers trained in integrated services delivery and health behaviors.
