The project aimed to foster economic growth and improve the competitiveness of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, and Tajikistan through conditions for international and border trade and transit. The evaluation team conducted an evaluation of the project, assessing the project's achievements and impacts. The team found that the project made significant progress in simplifying import tariffs, preferences, and government pre-export barriers. The project also implemented various interventions, including the establishment of a customs clearance system, the development of a single window system, and the creation of a trade facilitation committee. The evaluation team identified several key achievements, including the reduction of customs clearance time, the increase in the number of customs clearance points, and the improvement in the efficiency of customs clearance procedures.
