Abstract
The project, sponsored by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), seeks to enhance the financial viability and long-term sustainability of these systems, enabling their expansion and growth, and establishing the necessary preconditions for clean energy investments. The project is based on research from the Utility Human Resource (HR) Incentive Study, which identified key factors that contribute to the success of employee incentive programs in reducing losses and improving performance. The study's findings will be applied to a utility company in India to help it reduce losses, improve employee engagement, and benefit from international best practices. This initiative aligns with the project's objective of building institutional capacity, promoting knowledge exchanges, and reporting lessons learned and results. The scope of work for this project is divided into four stages, with Stage 1 focusing on selecting the utility company and developing the workplan for Stages 2, 3, and 4. The objectives of Stage 1 include selecting a utility company that meets specific criteria, defined by the project team, and developing a workplan for the subsequent stages. The activities to be undertaken during Stage 1 include drafting a list of eligibility criteria for the utility company selection, based on publicly available information, USAID's goals for the sector, and the company's ability to engage with the project. The selection criteria for the utility company will be based on a range of factors, including publicly available information, USAID's goals for the sector, and the company's ability to engage with the project. The project team will work with the utility company to develop a workplan that outlines the activities and deliverables for the subsequent stages. The workplan will be finalized and submitted to USAID for approval, marking the completion of Stage 1. The project team will consist of key personnel from Deloitte India, who will be responsible for executing the scope of work. The team will work closely with the utility company to ensure the successful implementation of the project. The project's expected milestone delivery due dates and corresponding prices will be provided in the scope of work.
