The Small Grants Program, implemented by the National Rural Support Programme (NRSP), received 12 applications during the reporting period from January 25 to February 4, 2016.

Abstract
This brings the total number of applications received since the resumption of the small grants program on November 18, 2014, to 416. Province-wise and sector-wise details of received applications show that Punjab received 10 applications, with 2 in the Education sector and 8 in Civic Participation. Sindh received 4 applications, with 2 in Civic Participation and 2 in Education. Balochistan received 4 applications, with 1 in Civic Participation and 3 in Education. KPK/FATA received 4 applications, with 1 in Civic Participation and 3 in Education. Nationwide/ICT received no applications. Out of the 416 applications received, 406 were shared with USAID for initial review, while 9 applications were found to be non-compliant due to missing basic information and were served non-compliance letters. The Small Grants Program returned 10 applications during the reporting period, with reasons for returning provided in Annex-I. USAID has reviewed 330 applications since the resumption of the small grants program, with 76 applications still in-process at USAID. Province-wise details of applications shared and reviewed by USAID show that Punjab has shared 142 applications and had 97 cleared, while Sindh has shared 80 applications and had 56 cleared. Against the 74 cases cleared for further processing, the Small Grants Program has submitted 59 fully processed grant summaries, with 39 recommended for award and 20 recommended not for award. USAID has approved 37 grants and declined 17 applications, with 5 cases still in-process. The Small Grants Program has cumulatively approved 85 grants under the SGP component. A total of 46 grants have been formally closed upon completion of their grant projects, with 34 projects under implementation at various stages and 5 grant agreements in preparation. The Small Grants Program has disbursed US $11 million, which is 59% of the approved grant funds of US $18.40 million. Province and sector-wise updates on projects and funds approved and disbursed are presented in Annex IV. During the reporting period, the Small Grants Program's field teams and project office staff conducted field monitoring support visits of 14 grantees' organizations, with details provided in the report. Annex-I lists the applications returned during the reporting period, with reasons for returning provided. Annex-II lists the un-processed applications with USAID for review, with 30 applications still pending review. Annex-III provides details of the 5 cases still in-process at USAID. Annex-IV presents a consolidated summary of the Small Grants Program's overall achievements since the start of the program in September 2010.
