Abstract
AID-391-C-00-10-01189-00 with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The program aims to provide financial assistance to small-scale projects in Pakistan, with a focus on education and civic participation. During the reporting month of November 2016, SGAFP received 3 new applications, bringing the total number of applications received since the program's resumption in November 2014 to 618. The majority of these applications came from Punjab, followed by KPK/FATA and Sindh. Sector-wise, the highest number of applications were received for education, followed by "Let Girls Learn" and civic participation. SGAFP assigned 3 applications to its Grant Officers for initial desk review, and cumulatively, all 618 applications have been assigned for desk review and preparation of checklists. A total of 616 applications have completed the desk review process, of which 507 have been submitted to USAID along with checklists. In terms of grant implementation, SGAFP submitted one fully processed grant summary to USAID during the reporting month, bringing the total number of grant summaries submitted to 85. USAID has decided 76 cases and awarded 54 grants, with 9 summaries pending final decision. The total number of approved grants since inception stands at 102, with 56 completed/closed, 44 ongoing, and 1 grant agreement in process. SGAFP disbursed US$ 347,575 to 16 grantee organizations during the reporting month, bringing the total disbursement to US$ 14.93 million against approved grant funds of US$ 20.87 million. SGAFP staff conducted 34 monitoring visits to 26 ongoing small grants to monitor the quality of work, ensure transparency in the utilization of funds, and offer technical support to grantees. The program also made progress on the "Let Girls Learn" initiative, with 222 applications received, 19 fully processed grant summaries submitted to USAID, and 12 grant summaries reviewed and decided by USAID/GRC. The program has disbursed US$ 49,289 to grantee organizations and has 10 grants/projects at various stages of implementation. In terms of finance and accounts, SGAFP has obligated/committed US$ 95,027 in funds and has disbursed US$ 347,575 to grantee organizations. The program has also submitted an advance request for operation and grants for the month of December 2016. The program's statistical abstract provides a comprehensive overview of its progress, including the number of applications received, processed, and approved, as well as the number of grants disbursed and projects completed. The program has made significant progress in implementing its projects and has achieved notable milestones in terms of grant disbursement and project completion.
