The Small Grants Program, implemented by the National Rural Support Programme (NRSP), received 20 new applications during the reporting period of January 11-22, 2016.

Abstract
This brings the total number of applications received since the resumption of the program on November 18, 2014, to 404. Province-wise and sector-wise details of received applications show that Punjab received 3 applications, Sindh received 3, Balochistan received 3, KPK/FATA received 4, and Nationwide/ICT received 6. Out of the 404 applications received, 391 have been shared with USAID for initial review, while 9 applications were found to be non-compliant due to missing basic information and were served non-compliance letters. During the reporting period, 4 applications were returned to the applicants, with reasons provided in Annex-I. USAID reviewed 16 applications during this period, bringing the total number of applications reviewed to 330 since the program's resumption. The Small Grants Program has cleared 74 cases for further processing, with 59 fully processed grant summaries submitted to USAID. Of these, 39 were recommended for award, and 20 were recommended not for award. Since the program's inception, USAID has approved 36 grants, declined 16 applications, and has 7 cases in process. The program has cumulatively approved 84 grants under the SGP component. As of the reporting period, the program has disbursed US $11 million, representing 59% of the approved grant funds of US $18.28 million. Province and sector-wise updates on projects and funds approved and disbursed are provided in Annex IV. During the reporting period, SGAFP's field teams conducted field monitoring support visits to 9 grantees' organizations, with details provided in the report. The program has formally closed 46 grants upon completion of their grant projects, with stipulated outputs and milestones. The number of projects under implementation at various stages stands at 31, while grant agreements of 7 recently approved cases are in preparation. Province-wise details of approved grants, closed grants, and grants at various stages of implementation are provided in the report. Annex-I lists the applications returned during the reporting period, with reasons provided for each. Annex-II lists the unprocessed applications with USAID for review, with details of the organizations, provinces, and dates of submission. Annex-III provides details of the 7 cases in process at USAID, while Annex-IV provides a consolidated summary of the program's overall achievements since its inception in September 2010.
