Social science research activities

Evaluation, consisting of a PES facesheet, is attached to a final report (XD-AAJ-507-B) and covers the period l/76-l/8l; no methodology is stated. CIRES performance has been very good. The Center has enjoyed stable and effective leadership; obtained support from other donors; supervised graduate training of students in agricultural economics and related fields; developed a U.S.-trained, bilingual research staff; is devoted to field research; and has firmly established itself as the leading French language social science research institute in West Africa.
