Abstract
The project's primary objective is to strengthen the capacity of civil society organizations (CSOs) in Nigeria to engage in advocacy and civic advocacy. The project is implemented by Chemonics International Inc. and is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID/Nigeria). Progress Summary The project has made significant progress in achieving its objectives. The project has trained over 2,500 farmers in sustainable agriculture techniques, resulting in a 27% increase in crop yields. The project has also established 15 demonstration plots, which have shown a 60% increase in crop yields when applying the recommended practices. Community feedback indicates strong adoption of composting and crop rotation methods, while irrigation techniques face implementation barriers due to equipment availability. Implementation Focus The project has focused on four key interventions: farmer training, infrastructure development, market linkage facilitation, and community engagement.
