Strengthening the management of agricultural research in Africa

PES covers the period 9/82-8/84 and is based on an attached special evaluation (XD-AAP-920-A). Action decisions are for the International Service for National Agricultural Research (ISNAR) to submit: an explanation and justification for modifications in the number of country studies and workshops to be conducted (A.I.D. should then modify the grant); the missing quarterly financial report for April-June 1983; details and justification for the consulting costs which have been incurred; and a work agenda for remaining project activities. ISNAR should also increase its collaboration with African institutions such as the Organization of African Unity.
