Abstract
The samples were stored at -30°C, while the test kits were stored at +4°C, except for the conjugate for the Brucella COMPELISA test, which was stored at -20°C. The CVDRL performed several tests on the serum samples, including the Rose Bengal Test (RBT) for rapid detection of antibodies against Brucella, the COMPELISA for detection of antibodies against Brucella, the CapriLat for the rapid detection of antibodies against Mycoplasma capricolum subspecies capripneumoniae (Mccp), and the Competitive screening ELISA for the detection of antibodies against Peste des Petits Ruminants (PPR) virus in serum. The tests were performed by Dr. Fahima and Dr. Noor Agha, who were trained and supervised by Willy Schauwers. The RBT test was performed on all 793 samples, but no positive results were recorded. The COMPELISA test was performed on 307 samples, and one sample was found to be positive for antibodies against Brucella. The CapriLat test was performed on 375 goat serum samples, and three were found to be positive for antibodies against Mycoplasma capricolum subspecies capripneumoniae (Mccp). The Competitive screening ELISA test was performed on 246 goat and sheep serum samples from the mid Wakhan area, and three were found to be positive for antibodies against Peste des Petits Ruminants (PPR) virus. The results of the tests are listed in Annex 1. The serum samples from sheep and goats from the Wakhan district were tested for various diseases, including brucellosis, contagious caprine pleuropneumonia (CCPP), and Peste des Petits Ruminants (PPR). The tests were performed on 34 serum samples, and the results are listed in the table below. The serum samples were tested for various diseases, including brucellosis, CCPP, and PPR. The results of the tests are as follows: - Brucellosis: 0 out of 793 samples were positive for antibodies against Brucella. - CCPP: 3 out of 375 goat serum samples were positive for antibodies against Mycoplasma capricolum subspecies capripneumoniae (Mccp). - PPR: 3 out of 246 goat and sheep serum samples from the mid Wakhan area were positive for antibodies against Peste des Petits Ruminants (PPR) virus. The serum samples from sheep and goats from the Wakhan district were tested for various diseases, including brucellosis, CCPP, and PPR. The results of the tests are listed in the table below. The serum samples were stored at -20°C, and the test kits were stored at +4°C, except for the conjugate for the Brucella COMPELISA test, which was stored at -20°C. The tests were performed by Dr. Fahima and Dr. Noor Agha, who were trained and supervised by Willy Schauwers. The results of the tests are listed in Annex 1.
