Abstract
The project is implemented by the Futures Group in collaboration with Plan International USA, Futures Institute, Partners in Population and Development, Africa Regional Office (PPD ARO), Population Reference Bureau (PRB), RTI International, and White Ribbon Alliance for Safe Motherhood (WRA). The project aims to support the Haitian government in strengthening the legal framework for child protection and providing care and support to survivors of violence. The project focuses on the departments of Nord, Nord-Est, Centre, Sud-Est, Grand-Anse, and Ouest, where it works to catalog the various actors and services involved in child protection and violence against children. The project also aims to address violence based on gender (VBG), which is a significant problem in Haitian society. According to the EMMUS V survey, 28% of women have experienced some form of violence at some point in their lives. The Ministry of Women's Affairs and Women's Rights (MCFDF) has been working to combat violence against women, and the project aims to support this effort by providing a platform for survivors to access medical, legal, and psychosocial services. The project's main component is the database of service points, which contains information on institutions and services available in Haiti. The database is accessible to the general public through the project's website (www.sevispwoteksyon.com), and administrators have secure access to add, modify, and delete data. The system has several functionalities, including consultation and search, representation of service points, navigation on the map, and access to secure data. The system allows users to filter data by type of institution, services offered, geography, and keywords. The system also allows users to add, modify, and delete data, and to print and update information. The project's goal is to provide a platform for survivors of violence to access medical, legal, and psychosocial services, and to promote access to all available services in communities. The project also aims to support the work of actors in preventing violence and assisting victims of violence based on gender. The project's approach is based on the principles of solidarity and community participation, and it aims to promote the involvement of communities in preventing violence and supporting survivors. The project also aims to strengthen the legal framework for child protection and provide care and support to survivors of violence. The project's expected outcomes include increased solidarity among communities and increased participation in efforts to prevent violence. The project also aims to promote the involvement of parents and guardians in reporting cases of violence and seeking assistance for their children. The project's database of service points is a key component of the system, and it contains information on institutions and services available in Haiti. The database is accessible to the general public through the project's website, and administrators have secure access to add, modify, and delete data.
