Abstract
The system is designed to facilitate the entry of training data and facilitate the process of requesting a DS-2019 form for participants attending US training programs. To get started with TraiNet/Web, users must first obtain an account by contacting the TraiNet/VCS Helpdesk. The helpdesk will verify the user's organization and create an account, which will be emailed to the user along with a username and password. Once logged in, users will have access to the TraiNet/Web system, which is divided into several sections. The system follows a familiar web interface, with navigation tabs, logged-in user information, and system task lists. The system also includes an icon legend to help users understand the meaning of icons on the screen. The TraiNet/Web system uses a step-by-step interface called a wizard to guide users through the data entry process. The wizard organizes the task of entering data into logical sections, providing detailed instructions on the screen. The wizard also allows users to save their data and cancel their session without saving at any time. To log in to TraiNet/Web, users must click on the Login link from the System Tasks menu. They will then be prompted to enter their login ID and password, after which they will be shown the Unclassified Government Site Disclosure page and the Rules of Behavior page. To continue using the system, users must agree to abide by the rules of behavior. Once authenticated, users can begin managing their participants by entering the necessary information, including the participant's passport, employment position, address, training provider, budget, training dates, and field of training. The system also requires users to determine the visa category for the participant, which can be determined based on the length of the program and the participant's educational level. The TraiNet/Web system is designed to be user-friendly and provides detailed instructions and guidance throughout the data entry process. By following the instructions and using the system's features, users can efficiently manage their participants and maintain visa compliance.
