Master Trainers Training for Election Day Observers was conducted on July 8-9, 2018, at Indus Hotel in Hyderabad.

Abstract
The training was facilitated by partner organization PAIMERS and attended by 17 participants, including 2 females and 15 males. The primary objective of the training was to equip Master Trainers with the necessary skills to train Election Day Observers (EDOs) effectively. The training covered various topics, including an introduction to FAFEN and its objectives, a brief overview of the Elections Act 2017, the structure of a polling station, roles and responsibilities of election staff, types of ballot, and the process at a polling station. Additionally, the training included a checklist for EDOs to use on the day of the election, mock training sessions by Master Trainers, the use of the Grants Management Information System, and documentation of the training of EDOs, including report writing, pre-post-test, training evaluation, and other related activities. The participants primarily belonged to four TDEA-CVP partners working in the Sindh province. The results of the pre and post-training evaluation of the participants are as follows: 16 participants had already had good experience in conducting election-related training, which is evident from their high scores in the pre-test. The results of the post-test evaluation showed significant improvement in the knowledge and skills of the participants. The training evaluation by the participants showed high scores in various aspects, including the overall quality of the training, the effectiveness of the activities and exercises, the ease of understanding the presentation, and the usefulness of the handbook and content. The participants also appreciated the allocation of sufficient time for each session and the coverage of all topics in a comprehensive manner. The trainers, Nazar Naqar and Kausar Abbas, received high scores in various aspects, including their knowledge of the subject, facilitation skills, ability to involve all participants, and preparation. The trainers also received high scores in their attitude towards the participants, motivation to learn through activities, and effective use of the handbook, chart, and other materials. The training was conducted in accordance with the agenda, and the timings and breaks were well-managed. The participants appreciated the trainers' ability to motivate them to learn through activities and their effective use of the handbook, chart, and other materials. The trainers also encouraged participants to ask questions and provided effective group control and voice pitch.
