Abstract
The training is addressed to librarians and library partners who aspire to modernize libraries through diversification and efficiency of library services. The curriculum of the training is based on cognitive theory, which contributes to the active involvement of participants in acquiring and developing the desired competencies. The curriculum has a dynamic and flexible status, ensuring its adaptability to different modernization situations of libraries. The curriculum also has a prospective status, open to adjustment to new acquisitions or realities of libraries. The training has a practical character through the development and realization of products that can be used by librarians and the elaboration of a functional plan for implementing a new library service. Methodologically, the curriculum is based on the exigențele taxonomiei moderne, ensuring that participants obtain a systemic preparation in their field of professional formation through the realization of tasks such as: - Actualization of knowledge and experiences of participants about the domain to be addressed or launching of assumptions regarding the subject; - Familiarization of participants with new information and argumentative examples in favor of these; - Memorization and understanding of new information for the context in which participants operate; - Application of new information and connection of these with the previous experience of participants and with the opportunity of subsequent valorization of information in the professional activity of participants; - Analysis and synthesis of the components addressed within the training (systematization and structuring of information); - Creation of own products based on the competencies acquired within the training; - Realization of judgments of value regarding the products realized and the competencies acquired within the training; - Taking of decisions regarding the subsequent valorization of the products acquired within the training. The curriculum consists of three basic components: I. Trainingul SNB; II. Implementarea noului serviciu de bibliotecă; III. Follow-up. I. Trainingul SNB will have a volume of 15 hours of astronomy structured in nine academic sessions. In the first session, participants are offered the opportunity to realize a comparative study of the users and non-users of the library in the community and to identify possible solutions for maintaining old users and attracting other community members to the library. In the second session, participants analyze the multidimensional concept of Library Service, familiarize themselves with examples of successful implementation of new services in libraries involved in the Novateca program, and analyze systemic trends in modernizing library services globally. In the third session, participants identify partners who can help the library to improve its services more quickly. They also estimate the resources needed for implementing the new service and the sources from which these resources can be obtained. In the fourth session, participants familiarize themselves with the exigențele față de procesele de monitorizare, evaluare, diseminare și asigurare a durabilității serviciilor implementate. In the fifth session, participants, working in creative teams, develop a description of their intention to implement a new library service and elaborate a plan for implementing this service in their library. In the sixth session, participants develop their communication skills to promote the new service more productively. Participants elaborate a one-minute message that they will address to different target groups: beneficiaries, partners, APL, mass media. In the seventh session, each participant will present their message. Colleagues will offer feedback. Subsequently, participants will develop strategies for efficientizing the one-minute messages. In the eighth session, participants will synthesize all the products developed in the previous sessions into a systemic plan for implementing the new library service. In the ninth session, participants will realize an exchange of experience regarding the plans elaborated. In the aftermath of the exchange of experience, the possible risks will be re-evaluated and solutions will be developed to minimize them. Participants will also develop the strategy of follow-up to analyze the progress of implementing new services in libraries. At the end of the training, participants will evaluate the quality of the training provided to them.
