Abstract
This five-year cooperative agreement aims to advance USAID learning priorities in the education sector to improve education and learning outcomes. SHARE's core-funded studies and workstreams include the Partners Retreat, which brought together UND's team, partner organizations, and the USAID team to discuss priorities, timelines, and partnerships. The retreat focused on balancing priorities, taking forward lessons from the Ecosystem Diagnostics process, and strengthening partnerships. UND's team, including the SHARE AOR and Task Managers, and partners from seven SHARE countries, Co-PIs from the SHARE DELITES study, and nearly all UND staff attended the retreat. Key discussions included understanding time commitments, adapting timelines, and adapting to the needs of partners. SHARE's core-funded studies and workstreams also include the Dissemination process, which involves generating products and tools in preparation for dissemination. The Ecosystem Diagnostics process is a key component of SHARE, which aims to improve understanding of organizational culture and facilitate communication flows. The initiative also includes the Receptive and Expressive Language Module (RELM), which focuses on improving language skills and improving access to information. The Systems Diagnostic Toolkit is another key component, which aims to improve work efficiency and mitigate decision-making bottlenecks. SHARE's Buy-Ins include the Ghana: Transition to English-Plus (T2E+) impact evaluation, the Uganda: Non-State Schools (NSS) assessment, and the Latin America/Caribbean (LAC) Bureau: Regional learning agenda. Other Buy-Ins include the SEL and teacher wellbeing in Colombia, the Malawi: Higher education portfolio evaluation, and the Mali and Rwanda: extension of LITES study. The initiative also includes the Egypt: Local Scholarship Program (LSP) evaluation, the Deaf Education LITES study, and the Inclusive Education diagnostic in Uzbekistan. The Guatemala: Basic Education Quality and Transitions (BEQT) activity impact evaluation is another key component. SHARE's progress report highlights the importance of partnerships, communication, and collaboration in achieving its goals. The initiative aims to improve education and learning outcomes in the education sector, and its progress report provides an overview of its core-funded studies and workstreams.
