Abstract
It provides references for the evaluation/selection/planning of sites in urban areas, particularly in relation to dwelling environments. The common cases of site investigation are: Given an intended use, find suitable sites. Given a site, determine options for use/development. Factors affecting a site have been qualified as follows: FACTORS MARKED (A) are primarily site attributes that define the economic and practical feasibility of developing the site. Secondly, they are physical planning determinants. FACTORS MARKED (B) are primarily site determinants that define the physical planning. Secondly, they may define the feasibility of the site"s development. FACTORS MARKED (AB) are both. The presentation of each of these factors includes: Definitions and Evaluation/Planning Considerations. They are to serve as a framework for preliminary site investigation as well as site planning. It is important that they be viewed as guidelines within a range of alternatives for each specific site factor. They are a checklist in the development of a site.
