Grant to the Nairobi Law Monthly Trust, Kenya, to continue USAID support for the publication and distribution of the Nairobi Law Monthly, which as a forum for democracy, has been a prime target of harassment by the Kenyan government and was even forced out of circulation for a whole year in 1993.
1996

Abstract
The Trust will also publish a case book on constitutional and human rights law. The Trust will publish 5,000-7,000 copies of the Nairobi Law Monthly every month over a 2 year period and intensify distribution with the hope of increasing circulation to 10,000 copies by the second year. For the case book, the Trust will hold a seminar to enable some 15 lawyers who have been involved in human rights cases to exchange records and gather information on further cases; material emanating from the seminar will be published as a Case Book in Human Rights and Constitutional Law.
