Abstract
A series of school classes, titled "Think of Tomorrow," was conducted in all Tuzla Canton elementary schools. The classes were led by student-members of the Student Energy Club Tuzla, who presented a ten-minute animated movie to encourage responsible behavior in daily energy use. The movie focused on simple actions such as turning off lights when not needed, using public transportation, and reducing electrical consumption. The classes also included a discussion on the importance of energy efficiency and renewable energy sources. Fifth-grade students received timetables with energy-saving tips, which aimed to motivate them to continue practicing energy-efficient habits. The project is part of a larger initiative to promote energy efficiency in buildings and increase public awareness about the benefits of energy efficiency. The USAID Enterprise Energy Efficiency (3E) Project has a budget of USD 4.5 million and focuses on capacity building of municipal staff and small and medium enterprises. The project also aims to increase the use of energy-efficient technologies in buildings and promote renewable energy sources. To date, the U.S. Government, primarily through USAID, has provided almost $1.6 billion in assistance to support economic, democratic, and social progress in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The project is expected to continue promoting energy efficiency and renewable energy sources in the coming years, with a focus on organizing similar courses for the next generation of fifth-grade students.
