Abstract
The program focused on community development and infrastructure improvement in various districts of Diyala Province. A total of 23 projects were completed under CAP III, with a combined budget of over $2.3 million. The projects were implemented in several districts, including Khanaqin, Jalawla, Muqdadiya, and Al Khalis. The projects included the construction of water supply systems, schools, and sports stadiums, as well as the rehabilitation of irrigation canals and electrical networks. The projects also included the establishment of community centers and the provision of equipment and supplies for various community activities. One of the key projects completed under CAP III was the extension of the potable water pipeline to Quatao Subdistrict, which was completed in June 2009. The project involved the construction of a subdistrict center and the provision of equipment and supplies for the water supply system. Another project completed under CAP III was the development of a potable water delivery network to Al-Kobat Village in Al-Khalis District, which was completed in July 2009. The program also included projects focused on education and economic development. For example, the construction of a multipurpose hall at the Al-Fahad Secondary School in Jaba'a Subdistrict was completed in December 2009. The project involved the construction of a new building and the provision of equipment and supplies for the school. The program also included projects focused on youth development and community empowerment. For example, the establishment of a sports stadium in Al-Khalis District was completed in October 2009.
