Abstract
The project is implemented by University Research Co., LLC, in partnership with sub-recipient organizations. The HEARD Project focuses on four key areas: Agenda Acceleration and Partnership Development, Evidence Strengthening and Data Liberation, Planning, Evaluation, and Accountability, and Study Support and Capacity Development, and Resource Mobilization. Implementation activities under the HEARD Project include the establishment of global and sub-regional consultative mechanisms to facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing among stakeholders. The project also supports evidence reviews and data liberation to inform policy and program decisions. Additionally, HEARD provides technical assistance and capacity development to study teams and resource mobilization to support research and evaluation activities. The project has implemented several specific studies and sponsored activities, including the East Africa Three-Country Nutrition Assessment, Respectful Maternity Care in Tanzania, and Advancements in Postpartum Hemorrhage Care (APPHC). These studies aim to address critical health issues and inform evidence-based interventions. The project also monitors progress and evaluates the effectiveness of implemented activities, ensuring that they are aligned with project goals and objectives.
