Abstract
Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA) Regional Teams are responsible for coordinating disaster response and recovery efforts in various regions around the world. The teams are led by Senior Regional Advisors and Regional Coordinators, who are based in regional offices and headquarters in Washington, D.C. Regional teams are organized into several geographic areas, including Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia (EMCA), East and Central Africa (ECA), South Asia, Southern, West and North Africa (SWAN), and East Asia and the Pacific. Each region has a designated Regional Coordinator and Principal Regional Advisors who oversee the implementation of OFDA programs and activities. The Regional Coordinators are responsible for providing strategic guidance and oversight to the regional teams, while the Principal Regional Advisors focus on specific areas such as commodity stockpiles, commodity management, and logistics. The teams also include Regional Advisors who provide technical expertise and support to the regional programs. The Regional Teams work closely with other USAID offices, including the Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART), to respond to disasters and provide humanitarian assistance to affected populations. The teams also engage with local governments, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and other stakeholders to build capacity and promote disaster risk reduction and management. Key contact information for the Regional Teams is provided below, including email addresses and phone numbers for the Senior Regional Advisors, Regional Coordinators, and Principal Regional Advisors. This information is essential for stakeholders who need to communicate with the Regional Teams or seek assistance with disaster response and recovery efforts. The Regional Teams play a critical role in USAID's disaster response and recovery efforts, providing critical support to affected populations and promoting disaster risk reduction and management in the regions they serve. Their work is essential to ensuring that USAID's humanitarian assistance reaches those who need it most.
