Abstract
The project aimed to assess the quality of health services provided by health facilities in the North region of Haiti. The verification report was prepared by Société d'Étude et de Formation en Information Stratégiques (SEFIS) and submitted to the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in August 2016. The verification report covered a period of April to June 2015 and was based on a household survey conducted in the North region. The survey aimed to assess client characteristics, client tracking rates, services received, and level of satisfaction with the health services provided. The report also included an executive summary, introduction, methodology, results, conclusions, and recommendations. The methodology used for the survey involved selecting investigators, choosing respondents, and collecting data through a questionnaire. The survey was conducted in 15 health facilities in the North region, and a total of 1,200 clients were interviewed. The data was analyzed to assess client characteristics, client tracking rates, services received, and level of satisfaction. The results of the survey showed that the majority of clients were women, and the most common reasons for healthcare visits were related to maternal and child health. The survey also found that the majority of clients were satisfied with the services provided, with an average global satisfaction score of 80%. However, there were some variations in satisfaction levels across different facilities and criteria. The report concluded that the health facilities in the North region of Haiti provided good quality services, but there were some areas for improvement. The report recommended that the health facilities should improve their services, particularly in terms of waiting time, quality of services, and drug availability. The report also recommended that the health facilities should increase their efforts to provide services to vulnerable populations, such as women and children. The verification report included several annexes, which provided additional information on the survey methodology, data analysis, and results. The annexes included tables and figures that summarized the data collected during the survey. The report also included a list of acronyms and abbreviations used in the report. The VRS North Project verification report provided valuable insights into the quality of health services provided by health facilities in the North region of Haiti. The report's findings and recommendations can be used to improve the quality of health services and increase access to healthcare for vulnerable populations in the region.
