Abstract
The project aimed to verify the health outcomes of clients receiving services from health facilities in Haiti. The verification period for this report was January-March 2016. Client characteristics were assessed during the verification period. The majority of clients were female, with a distribution of 55% female and 45% male. The age distribution of clients was also analyzed, with the majority falling within the 15-44 age group. Clients were tracked over a period of time to assess the success rate of health care visits. Services received by clients were also evaluated, including the reasons for health care visits. The most common reasons for visits were for prenatal care, delivery, and treatment of illnesses. Clients' satisfaction with the services received was also assessed, with a global satisfaction score of 75% reported. The level of satisfaction varied by facility characteristics, with facilities in the North department reporting higher satisfaction scores. A detailed analysis of clients' satisfaction was conducted, with a focus on hospitality and cleanliness, waiting time and quality of services, drug availability and respect of privacy, equality in providing services, price, and awareness. The results showed that clients were generally satisfied with the services received, with an average global score of 75%. The VRS North Project concluded that the health facilities in Haiti were providing adequate services to clients. However, there were some areas for improvement, including the need for better drug availability and respect of privacy. The project recommended that health facilities prioritize these areas to improve client satisfaction and overall health outcomes. The project also provided a detailed analysis of clients' satisfaction, with a focus on the distribution of health facilities by class. The results showed that the majority of health facilities were classified as "basic" or "intermediate," with a smaller number classified as "advanced." The project recommended that health facilities prioritize upgrading their facilities to improve client satisfaction and overall health outcomes. The VRS North Project was conducted in collaboration with the Société d'Études et de Formation en Information Stratégiques (SEFIS) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The project aimed to provide a comprehensive assessment of the health outcomes of clients receiving services from health facilities in Haiti. The results of the project will inform future health interventions and improve the overall health outcomes of clients in Haiti.
