Abstract
The mechanism is a non-judicial process that aims to provide a platform for victims and their families to share their experiences and receive reparations. The Mechanism is composed of several components, including the National Center for Historical Memory (CNMH), which is responsible for collecting and preserving historical records and testimonies. The CNMH is headed by a Director General, who is assisted by a team of experts and advisors. One of the key initiatives of the Mechanism is the "Yo Aporto a la Verdad" (I Contribute to the Truth) program, which aims to collect testimonies and stories from victims and their families. The program is implemented through a network of regional offices and mobile teams that travel to different parts of the country to collect testimonies and provide support to victims. The Mechanism has also established a series of agreements and protocols with various organizations and institutions to ensure the collection and preservation of historical records and testimonies. These agreements include partnerships with the Organization of American States (OAS) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM). The Mechanism has also established a series of publications and reports to document its work and provide information to the public. These publications include the "Yo Aporto a la Verdad" report, which provides an overview of the Mechanism's work and the testimonies collected through the "Yo Aporto a la Verdad" program. The Mechanism has also established a series of committees and working groups to oversee its work and provide guidance on various aspects of the process. These committees include the Council of Directors, which is responsible for overseeing the overall direction of the Mechanism, and the Technical Committee, which provides technical guidance on various aspects of the process. The Mechanism has also established a series of partnerships with various organizations and institutions to provide support to victims and their families.
