Abstract
The project aims to provide leadership in promoting PYD best practices and offers rapid response and technical assistance support to the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Missions, staff, and partners. The project's scope includes advancing the PYD Learning Agenda and other youth-related learning agendas, growing the PYD Learning Network, enhancing the YouthPower.org and YouthLead.org Platforms, and providing rapid response technical support through buy-ins. The project's Expected Results include increased and more robust data and evidence for what works and for whom in PYD and cross-sectoral youth programming, as well as improved dissemination of PYD evidence and learning products and uptake of information for design and implementation of PYD programming. During Year 4 (Y4), YP2LE made progress toward the Expected Results. Task 1 activities focused on building more robust PYD data and evidence, packaging and disseminating this evidence in user-friendly, actionable tools, resources, and learning products for youth development practitioners. The project collected baseline data for the Tanzania cross-sectoral youth activity impact evaluation, completed study preparations for data collection on the Akazi Kanoze Youth in Rural Rwanda Project, and onboarded a consultant to support in-country activities. The project also made progress in Task 2, managing and expanding the PYD Learning Network. The network was leveraged to disseminate and improve the knowledge, skills, and practices of those working in global PYD. Task 3 activities focused on enhancing the YouthPower.org and YouthLead.org Platforms, increasing the number of stakeholders informed by evidence, knowledge, and data on PYD. Task 4 activities provided rapid response technical support through buy-ins, increasing the number of PYD-focused USAID-funded activities and policies, as well as the capacity and understanding of USAID staff, partners, and youth-led/youth-serving organizations on PYD best practices and youth systems. The project's accomplishments in Y4 demonstrate progress toward the Expected Results and contribute to the advancement of PYD evidence and learning within and across multiple sectors. The project's activities and deliverables are outlined in the approved Y4 work plan, which includes cross-cutting activities for youth engagement and communications. The project's progress is reflected in the completion of baseline data collection, study preparations, and the onboarding of a consultant to support in-country activities. The project's accomplishments in Y4 demonstrate its commitment to advancing PYD evidence and learning and providing leadership in promoting PYD best practices. The project's impact is evident in the increased and more robust data and evidence for what works and for whom in PYD and cross-sectoral youth programming, as well as the improved dissemination of PYD evidence and learning products and uptake of information for design and implementation of PYD programming. The project's progress in Y4 contributes to the advancement of PYD evidence and learning within and across multiple sectors, ultimately benefiting youth development programs and initiatives worldwide.
