Adolescent-Responsive Health Systems Assessment Tool

It is designed to be used by ministries of health, civil society, non-governmental organizations, and adolescents themselves to identify areas of strength and weakness in the health system and prioritize actions to improve adolescent health outcomes. The tool is organized around the World Health Organization's health system building blocks, with additional consideration of community-level factors. It provides a framework for assessing the health system's responsiveness to adolescents across seven building blocks: leadership and governance, service delivery, health workforce, health information, essential commodities and technology, financing, and community. The tool includes features and benchmarks for each building block to guide the assessment and inform action planning.
