Abstract
It outlines the process of developing a national resource mobilization strategy (RMS) for nutrition in Tanzania, applying lessons from USAID guidance on transitioning nutrition financing from USAID to domestic resources. The document describes the three phases of developing the RMS, including inception and diagnostics, identification of strategic options for resource mobilization, and drafting and validating the RMS. It also highlights how the process aligns with USAID guidance on transitioning nutrition financing to domestic resources, focusing on basing the strategy on national priorities, strengthening capacity, aligning with government planning cycles, tailoring implementation plans, working in concert with governments, and ensuring transparent and shared data, monitoring, evaluation, and learning.
