AID agreement no. 674-0305-G-SS-2105-00 with Lawyers for Human Rights in support of the Transkei Regional Legal Office and Mobile Law Clinic in South Africa
Grant is provided to Lawyers for Human Rights (LHR) to strengthen its Transkei Regional Office, located in Umbata, South Africa, and to establish a mobile law clinic to provide free legal and paralegal services, as well as ongoing human rights education, in rural communities throughout Transkei"s 28 magisterial districts.

Abstract
The Regional Office will make contact with the communities to identify paralegal workers for training and set up a community committee to develop and manage a community advice center. In addition, the Regional Office will be expanded so that it has sufficient personnel resources to participate in national human rights projects launched by LHR"s Head Office in Pretoria.
