Abstract
The program has three main components. (1) Faculty exchanges with U.S. universities and other training entities will strengthen the school"s capacity for business outreach. (2) Two sets of business outreach activities will be tested -- a variety of short-term workshops and seminars for business owners and managers, and a diploma or certificate program directed at personnel managers and other supervisors. (3) Research (both industry-wide studies and case studies of specific Chilean companies) will be conducted to examine labor problems, approaches to labor negotiations, and other labor management and labor economics issues.
