Abstract
Country-specific projects will be developed by existing YMCA organizations in Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, and Poland. Activities will take place in three sectors: programs, institutional development, and administration. The programs sector includes (1) a community development component which will focus on service clubs, education and health awareness, democratic principles and practices, and humanitarian assistance; (2) an environmental component which will include environment camps and outdoor education, and (3) a management component to address enterprise development, middle management development, and the formation of industrial management clubs. The institutional development sector is aimed at strengthening and consolidating the capability of national YMCA movements in the four project countries. A key element will be partnership relations between YMCA and the countries. Finally, the administration sector will focus on the administration, monitoring, and coordination of the country- specific projects.
